Platt Services response the the Coronavirus event

What Platt Services is doing about covid-19

We know Lafayette, LA has changed since this event and a lot of local business are wondering what the future looks like. We want to be more than just a cleaning service in Lafayette. We want to be able to educate our clients. We are taking this time to educate and train our staff regarding Covid-19. We became certified by GBAC (Global Biorisk Advisory Council). The course was to educate the cleaning industry how to properly assess, provide guidelines and effective clean areas regarding novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). Please note there is no data on Covid-19. We are still in the research phase. However, using data from previous coronaviruses, we have a good understanding of how to handle this correctly.

Also, we are scheduled to complete the HCT course through ISSA, which will continue our education to properly clean.

We want you to know that we will always be continuing our education in all aspects of the cleaning industry. Our goal is to be your educated cleaning company in Lafayette, LA.

What are some changes Platt Services will implement moving forward?

To assure our clients with the best cleaning possible, we are adding a few additional steps to help prevent cross-contamination between clients.

We are encouraging our clients to provide their own vacuum. Although this is our recommendation, we will continue to provide a vacuum for those who prefer to not purchase one.

We must insist that we be notified if anyone in the home has been sick within 72 hours of your scheduled cleaning. Suggested symptoms (not limited): fever, cough, running nose or vomiting.

We will continue to wear protective footwear, gloves and masks (in cases where clients are home) while we are in your home to clean. As well as disinfecting all bottles, tools and equipment before entry.

We are in the early phase of implementing the solo cleaning technician system. This system is designed to have one cleaning technician in each home, at a time. This is the best way to assure the measures we are inplacing are being done and done correctly. For those who are concerned with time, research has shown that multi-technicians' systems waste time by not following proper protocol, recleaning and missing areas. The benefits far out way the added time. In most cases, it is less than double the cleaning hours. This addition will keep the cost of business down and allow us to pay our cleaning technicians competitively.

We take the safety of you and your family seriously!

If you have any questions, please contact us at 337-366-3686

God Bless!
